Office of the Registrar of Political Parties has introduced technology software for verification of validity of party membership. The Political Parties Registration Software offers practical and efficient solution for handling huge submissions of party membership register.
The software has capabilities for verification of the data and checking of duplicates before the final update is done in the register. The Software platform has been shared with all the political parties free of charge, after which the political parties staff were trained on its usage. The Registration technology was a collaborative initiative by the Registrar, the International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES) and the Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC). Use of technology is part of the powers by the Registrar to make regulations.
