Three parties get ORPP counsel on ideologies 

A section of founders of three (3) proposed parties-  Cooperative Development Party ((CDP), Democratic  Republic Movement ( DRM) and Democratic Development  Party (DEK) pitched ideologies proposals to ORPP ON 2nd September 2025.

“Our ideology is inspired by the long and impactful principles of Cooperative movement. Some of our founding members have experience in the cooperative movement, hence we will be drawing from these experiences to the party”, said CDP delegation leader.

The Registration department presided over the sessions, party officials who gave their proposed party ideologies, which were oriented to changes in the country’s governance, justice, inclusion, and representation for all, as well as improving social welfare and addressing social ills for the good of the citizens through their party leadership and programmes.

The Registration officials guided the parties on the formats of presentation of party ideology to cover all facets contained in the recently developed ORPP ideology guidelines. They were also guided on ways of aligning their manifestos to party constitutions and ideology.

“The Office is committed to guide parties in developing ideologies that are practical, sustainable, and are in synch with the needs of the country and the people”, said the Head of Registration department during a session with one of the parties accompanied by his colleagues in the department.

Founders appreciated the guidance and committed to abiding by the direction given

“This is the first time we are witnessing a potential president from a person living with disabilities. I urge ORPP to continue mainstreaming its processes to be disability friendly, including information materials”, noted DEK founder, who is a PWD.
