On August 16, 2024, staff participated in an informative session on the wide range of services and resources offered at ORPP’s Resource Centre (RC). The online workshop was led by Beatrice Amollo, and aimed to equip staff with the essential skills to effectively access and utilize these information tools.
“Today, we begin a journey to fully explore the wealth of resources available at the Resource Centre,” said Beatrice Amollo. “Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to use these tools to enhance your research and policy planning efforts.”
The session covered several key areas, including an overview of the RC’s diverse offerings. Ms. Amollo walked the staff through various types of resources, both digital and physical, and provided a step-by-step guide on how to navigate the Resource Centre’s online portals and catalogs.
Participants were also introduced to a range of digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, ProQuest, Taylor & Francis, and EBSCOhost, which offer a wealth of online information materials for research and professional development.
