The ORPP apprised the 13th House of its role, current focus areas, including the review of the Political Parties Act (PPA), efforts to support political parties, and a plan of action for the 2027 general election. The team also briefed on obtaining human capital, financial, and other gaps that hamper ORPP’s full actualisation of its mandate and strategic pillars as outlined in the 2025/2028 Strategic Plan. Registrar J.C. Lorionokou, in the company of Assistant Registrar CPA Florence and senior ORPP officials, also fielded various concerns and offered clarification on key matters relating to political parties’ registration, compliance, governance, dispute management, party records & data, party membership, among other issues raised by the Legislators during a discussion session called for enhanced collaboration to promote inclusivity particularly for Special Interest Groups alongside data protection, compliance with electoral laws, political education, information sharing and advancement of progressive national and grassroots dialogue.
