National Political Parties Steering Committee (NPPLC) consultative meeting, April 28th to 29th, 2026. – The meeting convened by ORPP discussed and developed the Committee’s work plan and roadmap as preparations for the 2027 general election. The sitting sought to establish the Steering Committee’s priorities with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) for the upcoming 2027 electoral cycle.
Members emphasized the need for optimal policy debates and contributions in electoral reform, while enhancing strategic partnerships. The Chairperson, Evans Misati, called for optimal engagement among the National Political Parties Liaison Committee, ORPP, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) & political parties to entrench the PPLC’s dialogue intent.
