ORPP Issues National Patriotic Party with Provisional Certificate— 28th in the Category

The Registrar J.C. Lorionokou, on 25th November, ORPP Headquarters, issued the National Patriotic Party (NP) with a provisional registration certificate-the 28th party under this category.

The Registrar commended the party founders for the progress for attaining the certification, urging them to uphold the values and ideologies upon which the party is founded.

“You must embrace and champion inclusion for all citizens. The ORPP is ready to support and guide you through the remaining processes to full registration while assessing full compliance to the Political Parties Act, Cap. 7D. We also encourage you to expedite the process to position your party to potentially participate in the 2027 General Election,” the Registrar noted.

Assistant Registrar, Registration and Field Services Coordination, CPA Florence Birya, further guided the officials to “Recruit members while adhering to the stipulated statutory guidelines including meeting personal data and stipulated inclusion thresholds as well as maintaining up to date party records. Your party membership must reflect all the demographics, including Special Interest Groups. Further, you must establish party offices that are accessible to all including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)”.

The Deputy Director of Registration, Locha Erukudi,in the session briefed on the step to step requirements for full registration that relates to member recruitment, establishment of party office and setting up governance and administrative structures as required by PPA.

Party founders present expressed their gratitude to ORPP for its continued support and called for ongoing guidance and capacity-building as they embark on full registration journey in 270 days.
