The Procurement department is in the process of processing applications for registration of ORPP suppliers for goods, works and services for FYs 2024-2025 and 2025/26. The process commenced with an advertisement in the My Gov pull-out (Government paper distributed by the Star newspaper) on 17th September, 2024 alongside ORPP website and National Treasury’s portal.
The Office through the appointed Tender Opening Committee successfully conducted bids opening on 8th October, 2024 at 11.00 am, being the statutory deadline set in the initial tender notice.
Prior to the opening, the Tender Opening Committee held a planning meeting on 7th to deliberate and strategize on ways to conduct the exercise in line with section 92 (2) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015.
“ I thank you for the commitment and support to the Procurement department in this exercise. This ensures ORPP complies with statutory requirement on opening, evaluation and final publishing of the list of responsive suppliers”, noted Esther Kiarie, Head of Procurement while appreciating a team of staff who had worked tirelessly to complete the data entry exercise, a week after opening.
