Kikao na Comrades initiative spreads to Nyeri County

ORPP engages students during the #KikaonaComrades forum in Nyeri County.

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties held a youth engagement forum #KikaonaComrades in Nyeri County, bringing together students and staff from higher learning institutions for a candid conversation on political participation and civic awareness.

The forum forms part of ORPP’s ongoing efforts to reach young people within academia, creating a platform for students to share their perspectives on political party governance and the broader democratic process. Officials from the Office engaged directly with students drawn from various faculties, encouraging open dialogue on issues affecting youth participation in politics.

According to ORPP, such targeted engagements continue to provide valuable insight from the youth, feedback that plays a key role in shaping and reviewing the Office’s capacity-building programmes and future interventions.

The Nyeri forum adds to a series of similar engagements the Office has rolled out across learning institutions, aimed at deepening political education and strengthening youth involvement in Kenya’s political party system.
