30th March 2026: ORPP, with support from the International Republican Institute (IRI), held a regional youth capacity-building forum in Kisumu, bringing together young participants to strengthen their engagement in political parties and electoral processes.
The Kisumu forum is part of a series of similar engagements previously conducted in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kakamega.
In the forum was the Assistant Registrar, CPA Florence Birya, who, in her address, underscored the timely call for empowering and collaborating with the youth as key drivers of democratic governance and political reform in the country.
The engagement also comes on the heels of a recent ORPP, IRI-convened National Youth Forum held on 24th March 2026, as a result of a series of youth discussions. These efforts are some of ORPP’s practical approaches to equip, nurture, and amplify youth voices for meaningful participation in political and electoral processes
