The Registrar of Political Parties, Lucy Ndung’u stated that “the training aimed at strengthening Kenya’s political leadership and saw over 50 women leaders from political parties getting engaged on issues of leadership, integrity and legislation”. She added that the training is one of a kind as it will equip the leaders to comply with the law in preparation for credible, 2017 General Election.

The three day training was flagged off jointly by the Registrar of Political Parties, Mrs. Lucy Ndungu; the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya School of Law, Prof. PLO Lumumba; and the Chief Executive Officer of the Intellectual Resource Center (EA), Brian Weke.

The third day of the workshop formed the curtain closure where all the parties trained were issued with certificates of merit. The first and second editions of training for the parties’ Secretary Generals, and the Chair persons had been held, consecutively in the first week of April 2016.
