The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties(ORPP) is established under Section 33 of the Political Parties Act Cap. 7D (PPA) as an independent State Office within the meaning of Article 260 of the Constitution. The core mandate of the Office is to register, regulate political parties, and administer the Political Parties Fund.
ORPP offers a professionally enriching pupillage programme that provides practical exposure to legal practice within a dynamic public sector environment. The programme equips pupils with hands-on experience across diverse areas of law.
The pupillage program is a mandatory professional apprenticeship for candidates pursuing the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) at the Kenya School of Law and is undertaken under the supervision of qualified and experienced Advocates within the ORPP Legal & Advisory Services Department.
The Office is an accredited Pupillage Centre by the Kenya School of Law (KSL), mandated to offer pupillage. ORPP seeks to engage two (2) highly motivated Kenyans to undertake Pupillage commencing January 2026.
The successful candidates shall be selected based on the following factors from applicants who possess the following qualifications:
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) Degree from a recognized University.
Personal Attributes
The applicant must;
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to learn and teamwork;
- Be willing to handle challenging assignments within set timelines; and
- Be computer Literate.
Other Requirements
- Application Letter and Curriculum Vitae;
- Current letter from Kenya School of Law recommending the student to proceed to pupillage;
- Copies of Academic Certificates and Testimonials;
- A copy of the National Identity Card; and
- Medical insurance cover by the SHA or any other reputable medical insurance firm.

- All applications should include a reliable email address, day-time telephone contact and must be accompanied with a detailed curriculum vitae and copies of relevant certificates.
- Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted to attend the interviews. Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.
