Heads of departments, regions and a section ORPP staff held a meeting on 1st to 6th October, to prepare FY2025/26 and the Medium-Term budget. The period being, FY 2025/26 to FY 2027/28.
The Registrar of Political Parties, Ann Nderitu, CBS in her opening remarks urged the team to undertake the budget exercise to actualize ORPP vision seeking to be a model brand that other entities in Kenya and beyond borders can emulate.
“As we prepare this document, let us be thorough and practical, ensuring continuity of programmes not undertaken in budgeting cycle period. We must align the budget to the Key Result Areas (KRAs) outlined in the ORPP Strategic Plan,” said Registrar.
“The budget proposals should be sustainable and within priorities of Kenya’s social-economic development. In the preparation, the activities should be streamlined and avoid any duplication”, said Assistant Registrar CPA Florence Birya.
“The alignment of our budget should be within ORPP Strategic Plan and cognizance of economic landscape that require sustainability and creation of positive impact on service delivery,” urged Assistant Registrar, Ali Abdullahi emphasized.
The team is undertaking the process in adherence with the prevailing laws and budgeting guidelines. In the session organized by Finance department, the ORPP also undertook assessment of performance through the Programme Performance Review (PPR) for the FY 2021/22 -FY 2023/24 period. The status of implementation of the Strategic Plan 2020-24 was undertaken.
