The ORPP team, on 5th August 2026, led by Registrar J.C. Lorionokou, held consultative discussions with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and its team to calibrate inter-institutional collaboration towards effectively delivering their respective roles in the 2027 General Election.
“The ORPP appreciates continued partnership with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission in elections and beyond. We must enhance coordination and continue fostering engagements with all stakeholders to identify emerging challenges and roll out responsive interventions necessary for electoral integrity,” said the Registrar.
Assistant Registrar, CPA, CS Ms. Agatha Wahome outlined ORPP’s initiatives that bolster peace in elections, including continuous capacity building for political party organs, monitoring compliance of parties with the Political Parties Code of Conduct, deployment of County and Constituency Election Monitors, and active participation in the Uwiano Platform for Peace.
The NCIC Chairperson, Bishop Dr. Kepha Nyamweya Omae, called for enhanced collaboration among all electoral stakeholders, urging institutions to leverage every available platform to foster dialogue among political actors and safeguard national cohesion throughout the electoral process joint Technical Working Committee was appointed to draft up a common roadmap for the 2027 General Election programs.
