21 May 2026: ORPP hosted a courtesy visit from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Kenya’s Deputy Resident Representative, Madelena Monoja and Jane Serwanga, Team Leader (o.i.c), Governance and Inclusive Growth Unit. The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding partnership between the two institutions and explore areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening Kenya’s democratic processes ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Discussions during the engagement focused on enhancing inclusive, transparent and credible political processes through strategic cooperation and institutional support.
The engagement also highlighted the shared commitment of the Office and UNDP Kenya to fostering an enabling political environment that supports accountability, inclusivity and public trust in Kenya’s electoral and governance systems. Both parties underscored the importance of continued collaboration in advancing democratic values and empowering citizens to actively participate in the country’s political development.
