Registrar J.C.Lorionokou on 8th December 2025, held a series of discussions with ORPP cross-section of partners. Present in the discussions were Assistant Registrars Ali Abdullahi (Regulation and Compliance) and CS Agatha Wahome, Assistant Registrar -Finance, Political Parties Fund and Strategy.
Senior ORPP officials, led by the head of Partnership, Beatrice Nderi and her counterpart , Anastacia Kaberere, briefed the partners on a wide array of ORPP-led capacity building programmes and stakeholder engagement initiatives implemented to enhance parties’ governance and scale up participation of Special Interest Groups(SIGs).

The Registrar, together with the team, first held deliberations with Centre For Multiparty Democracy Kenya’s Executive Director, Frankline Mukwanja, where discussions focused on potential partnerships aimed at strengthening political parties and deepening multiparty democracy.
The Registrar and team also held talks with International Republican Institute (IRI), led by Country Director Francis Rogers. The discussions centered on enhancing the participation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) —Youth, Women, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the governance structures of political parties.
Further, the Registrar met with Dr. Catherine Kamindo of the European Network of Political Foundations – ENoP to review ongoing initiatives focused on citizen information-sharing and political education.
“We look forward to further grassroots engagement and capacity building of political parties to enhance governance, transparency and accountability,” said Registrar.
The visiting representatives commended ORPP’s proactive initiatives and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting future programmes aligned with the Office’s strategic partnership priorities.
