The customized financial reporting template is now complete following validation of the tool on 8th and 9th December 2025.
The session convened by ORPP in conjunction with the Public Sector Accounting Standards Board and the Office of the Auditor-General, Kenya, and representatives of fully registered, who formed the Technical Working Group involved in developing of customised template.
The ORPP has also conducted sensitization sessions for all political parties for the effective application of the reporting tool.
Assistant Registrar, CPA Florence Birya, who has been the ORPP lead in the entire process, appreciated the parties for their involvement while emphasizing the importance of fully adopting the template to enhance transparency, proper maintenance of financial records, and accountability of parties’ resources.
“I am immensely grateful for the cooperation and support of all parties as guided by ORPP through various phases to this phase that has now been achieved with positive results”, said Stanley Igathi of PSASB.
The process culminated in the Working Committee members being awarded certificates of appreciation and participation.
The Template was developed out of the concerns and needs of having a customized reporting tool, responsive to the unique needs of political parties, while aligned to applicable Kenyan and International Financial and Audit reporting requirements.
The template will be monitored for its use, drawn from political parties/user experiences and insights for its subsequent improvements and training interventions.
