ORPP holds advisory in-person meetings with political parties on financial audits

The ORPP, spearheaded by the Assistant Registrar, Regulation and Compliance, Ali Surraw held one-on-one meetings with funded political parties to discuss and guide on audit issues for each party. The discussions were between 24^th and 28^th September in the ORPP boardroom.

The discussions were part of ORPP’s support to political parties towards adherence to financial management including audit and reporting standards in conformance with the Public Finance Management Act, Part III of Political Parties Act CAP 7D, and other laws and Regulations. Out of the Auditor General’s FY 2023/2023 audit, various political parties had adverse audit opinions.
