The ORPP led by Compliance department conducted a countrywide verification of headquarter offices of all fully registered political parties. The exercise undertaken by assigned teams took place from 13th to 18th April, 2025.
The exercise sought to assess compliance of parties on various areas such as presence of offices, membership threshold, financial management and reporting, maintenance of records , operational measures such as party policies among others.
The outcome of the exercise will be consolidated into reports by the respective team and will inform the offices the step of compliance action remedies. The exercise was in line with the provisions of the Political Parties Act (PPA) CAP 7D. Pres- ently there are 91 registered political parties following voluntary dissolution the Amani National Congress (ANC) into the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) on 7th February, 2025. The dissolution was gazetted on Kenya Gazette (No. 3349 VOL CXXVII No. 53) 14th March, 2025.
