Nakuru based team holds stakeholder forum in Kericho

The ORPP, through the Nakuru-based office, convened and sensitized a section of county political parties officials in a stakeholder engagement forum in Kericho County at the Kericho Technical and Vocational College (TVC).

The engagement,part of ORPP continuous national and grassroot level sensitization fora, aimed at enhancing public awareness and stakeholder collaboration on wide aspects relating to ORPP regulatory mandate, purpose of political parties and actualisation of citizens’ political rights and their contribution in the country’s democratic governance.

Various county-based officials of KANU, DCP, CCM, and UDA participated.

The forum was supported by officials of other duty bearers, such as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the Media Council of Kenya, and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, who also provided an overview of their respec­tive mandates and various collaborative initiatives with ORPP.

Other attendees were drawn from the media fraternity in the area, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), reps, Special Interest Groups, boda boda leaders, officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, National Council of Churches of Kenya – NCCK, among others.

The participants identified critical areas of synergy among stakeholders for peaceful and progressive political engagement, essential for the country’s political stability and progress.
