The Registrar facilitating on the subject,\u00a0 \u201cPolitical Parties, Participation and Inclusion”, underscored the cardinal responsibility of women leaders understanding party structures and governance instruments to upscale their leadership involvement\u00a0 within political parties.<\/p>\n
The two-day national forum convened Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of Women Caucuses ,themed\u00a0 \u201cPromoting Transformative Women Leadership and Inclusive Participation in County-Level Electoral Processes.\u201d<\/p>\n
“As women leaders in counties, you must advocate to be part of top-level conversations and decisions in your respective political parties to protect the interest of women, especially the marginalized and underprivileged”, emphasized the Registrar.<\/p>\n The Registrar who was accompanied by a section of Legal and Corporate Communication team, further urged -“You must acquaint yourselves with respective political party\u2019s constitution, Election and Nomination rules among other party operational instruments to deepen your knowledge and base your motions in decision making within the parties”, urging for the leaders to progress positive narrative of\u00a0 political parties as institutions of governance.<\/p>\n He called on party members to continue keeping parties in check as public institutions within Constitutional accountability requirements.
