Registration of a party is a two stage process:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provisional registration, and<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Full registration<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provisional Registration&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sheria ya Vyama vya Siasa ya 2011, Sehemu ya 6 inasema kwamba maombi ya usajili wa muda wa chama cha siasa kinachopendekezwa.\n\nitakuwa kwa maandishi na kusainiwa na mwombaji. Maombi ya usajili wa muda yatatakiwa-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ni pamoja na kumbukumbu zilizotiwa saini za mkutano wa kwanza wa wanachama waanzilishi wa chama cha siasa;<\/li>\n<li>weka jina la chama cha siasa;<\/li>\n<li>ikiwa chama cha siasa kingependa kutumia ufupisho wa jina lake kwa madhumuni ya Sheria hii, weka kifupi hicho;<\/li>\n<li>iambatanishwe na nakala ya katiba ya chama cha siasa inayopendekezwa ambayo itazingatia sheria;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>ni pamoja na ombi la usajili wa alama ya chama cha siasa.<\/li>\n<li>ni pamoja na ahadi ya kufungwa na Sheria hii na Kanuni za Maadili zilizoainishwa katika Jedwali la Kwanza; na<\/li>\n<li>iambatanishwe na ada iliyowekwa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon application for registration under subsection (1), the Registrar shall, within thirty days of the association or organization fulfilling the conditions prescribed in section 6, issue that association or organization with a certificate of provisional registration.<\/p>\n<p>A political party that has been provisionally registered as per conditions above shall, not later than one hundred and eighty days from the date of provisional registration, apply to the Registrar for full registration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/registrationprocess\/banner13.jpg\" alt=\"banner13\" style=\"border: 4px solid #000000;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Conditions of Full Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Political Parties Act 2011, Sect 7 provides that an application for full registration of a political party shall be in writing and shall be signed by an authorized official of the political party. A provisionally registered political party shall be qualified to be fully registered if\u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>imeajiri kama wanachama, wasiopungua wapiga kura elfu moja waliojiandikisha kutoka kwa zaidi ya nusu ya kaunti;<\/li>\n<li>wanachama waliorejelewa katika aya ya (a) wanaakisi tofauti za kikanda na kikabila, usawa wa kijinsia na uwakilishi wa walio wachache na makundi yaliyotengwa;<\/li>\n<li>muundo wa baraza lake la uongozi huakisi tofauti za kikanda na kikabila, usawa wa kijinsia na uwakilishi wa walio wachache na makundi yaliyotengwa;<\/li>\n<li>si zaidi ya theluthi mbili ya wajumbe wa baraza lake linaloongoza ni wa jinsia moja;<\/li>\n<li>imedhihirisha kuwa wajumbe wa baraza lake la uongozi wanakidhi matakwa ya Sura ya Sita ya Katiba na sheria zinazohusu maadili;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>it has submitted to the Registrar a list of the names, addresses and identification particulars of all its members; the location of its head office, which shall be a registered office within Kenya and a postal address to which notices and other communication may be sent; and the location and addresses of the branch offices of the political party, which shall be in more than half of the counties;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>be accompanied by the prescribed fee; and<\/li>\n<li>imejitolea kuwa chini ya Sheria hii na Kanuni za Maadili zilizoainishwa katika Jedwali la Kwanza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Registrar shall, within thirty days of an application, issue a certificate of full registration to a provisionally registered political party which has fulfilled the conditions of full registration.
