Various field offices, with overall coordination of Assistant Director Field Services Coordination and support of a section of headquarter staff, held a series of stakeholder partner engagements in February and March in their respective counties. They were spearheaded by ORPP field-based officers.<\/p>\n
The deliberations sought to explore and expand ORPP’s partnership with partners and stakeholders on mutual areas of interest. The meetings involved ORPP long-held stakeholders and explored potential others with a focus on areas of joint\u00a0 involvement towards 2027 general elections. such as political education,<\/p>\n
The brief from respective ORPR regional offices is as highlighted below:<\/p>\n
Trans-Nzoia\/Kitale office engages with varsity student leaders in Lowdwar, Turkana <\/b><\/h4>\n
On 21st March, 2025, the Trans Nzoia regional office held a university Student leaders under the armpit of Turkana\u00a0 Colleges and Universities Student Association (TUCUSA). Various universities in the county and beyond were represented<\/p>\n
The session was also an opportunity for participants to share insights on enhancing youth participation in political and electoral processes. The half-day forum was graced by the Turkana County Commissioner, Mr. Julius Kavita.<\/p>\nORPP team, duty-bearing institutions, and students after the sensitization forum by Kitale regional office held at Cradle Camp Hotel, Lodwar in Turkana County<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The young leaders\u00a0 were sensitized on raft of ORPP processes including\u00a0 Office mandate, initiatives for promoting inclusivity and participation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in decision making , registration and compliance processes as well tech-bound ORPP services including on party membership.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Nyahururu-based office convenes stakeholders and partners to explore collaborative avenues<\/b><\/h4>\n
Nyahururu regional office held stakeholders’ breakfast meeting on 25th March, 2025 in Nyahururu town . The forum aimed at strengthening collaboration with ORPP\u2019s various stakeholders as well as seek\u00a0 potential partners in the region.<\/p>\n
Stakeholders present underscored the importance of synergy among state and non-state stakeholders in the region.\u00a0 \u201cThe import of strengthening collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders cannot be overemphasized. I acknowledge ORPP for convening such an important forum that ensures inclusive political processes and lay plans\u00a0 on time in preparation for the forthcoming 2027 general election. towards ensuring there is free, fair and electoral processes\u201d, said\u00a0\u00a0 Deputy County Commissioner, Nyandarua West Sub-county Josephine Kihara in her address on behalf Nyandarua County Commissioner.<\/p>\nAssistant Director, Field Services Coordination, Joshua Ngala (speaking, front) presides over a stakeholder forum held in Nyahururu town<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The stakeholders represented were the Office of the County Commissioners(Nyandarua & Laikipia), IEBC(Nyandarua & Laikipia), National Police Service(Nyandarua & Laikipia), Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Commission on Administrative Justice (Ombudsman), representatives from political parties, Lar’che Kenya, Groots Kenya, Laikipia CBOs, local media stations and a host of SIGs representatives.<\/p>\n
A Joint Working Group to be chaired by the County Commissioner for Laikipia,\u00a0 Onesmus Kyatha, comprising of all the stakeholders and potential partners present, was agreed upon to work closely with ORPP in political education. Other collaborative areas mooted pertained to Youth Empowerment programs; public engagements and sensitization of SIGs, community dialogues in peace and conflict management; mobilization of resources for programmmes on PWDs\u00a0 & women in political parties and ways of decentralizing the Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC).<\/p>\n

Team Machakos\u00a0 engages stakeholders on\u00a0 governance<\/b><\/h4>\n
On March 24, 2025, the ORPP Machakos office convened and engaged governance responsible agencies such as EACC, ODPP, NCPWD, NCIC, LSK, County Government, Faith\/Community\/Civil Based Orgnisations, (CBOs, CSOs, FBOs) and a section of learning institutions in a forum held in Machakos town. The deliberations revolved among others, the following.<\/p>\n
\u2705 A road map for collaboration was established.<\/p>\n
\u2705 Partners committed to supporting political governance initiatives.<\/p>\n
\u2705 Agreement to develop a Stakeholder Engagement Framework for sustainability.<\/p>\n
\u2705 Plans for collaborative outreach programs to boost grassroots political participation.<\/p>\nParticipants and ORPP team after an engagement forum on governance in Machakos town\u00a0<\/b><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Uasin Gichu-based office holds discussions with partners<\/h4>\n
The Uasin Gishu regional office conducted a partners breakfast meeting, 3rd April, 2025 in Eldoret. \nThe participants were sensitized on raft of ORPP mandate and processes with focus on exploring partnership avenues for Uasin Gishu county and the region at large.<\/p>\n
Agencies present in the forum were; Uasin Gichu\u2019s County Commissioner’s officials, County Assembly( Represented by Hon. Regina Chumba), Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Kenya National Commission on Human rights (KNCHR), Amnesty International, National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), Transparency International, Civil society network, Supreme council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), Human Rights defenders, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA), Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), National Council for Population and Development (NCPD), Maendeleo ya Wanawake and different media houses.<\/p>\nORPP team with stakeholders after a breakfast meeting held in Eldoret town<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Some of the action points and areas of collaboration and partnership out of deliberations related to joint awareness creation, capacity building and ways of enhancing ORPP\u2019s publicity .<\/p>\n
