T<\/strong>he ORPP<\/a> is committed to developing and implementing policies, guidelines, and standardized procedures across its functions. To progress this, the Plenary (comprised of Registrar and Assistant Registrars) held a review retreat from the 3rd to the 6th of February 2025, to consider various departmental policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).<\/p>\n

Documents tabled by respective heads of department included; Ideology Guidelines, ICT Policy, Communication Standard Operating Procedures, Transport Policy, HRM Policy and Procedures Manual among others.<\/p>\n

Registrar of Political Parties, Ann Nderitu, CBS,\u00a0 who chairs the Plenary, commended the departments for their efforts in preparing the policy documents and emphasized the need for their effective implementation. She noted the documents such as Political Parties Ideology Guidelines will support party processes.<\/p>\n

Assistant Registrar, Registration and Field Services, CPA Florence Birya, the Plenary convener, acknowledged the progress in policy development, stressing the importance of aligning the policy documents to the legal framework and aligning them to ORPP strategic focus.<\/p>\n

Assistant Registrar Regulation and Compliance, Ali Abdullahi highlighted the necessity of incorporating advancements in technology and other emerging issues to systematize and standardize party processes for overall service delivery.<\/p>\n

The review is part of ORPP’s internal controls and governance measures to ensure that the approved policies meet the best practices and needs intended to serve.
