Registration of a party is a two stage process:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provisional registration, and<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Full registration<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provisional Registration&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La loi de 2011 sur les partis politiques, section 6, stipule qu'une demande d'enregistrement provisoire d'un parti politique propos\u00e9\n\ndoit \u00eatre \u00e9crit et sign\u00e9 par le demandeur. Une demande d'immatriculation provisoire doit :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>inclure le proc\u00e8s-verbal sign\u00e9 de la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9union des membres fondateurs du parti politique ;<\/li>\n<li>indiquer le nom du parti politique;<\/li>\n<li>si le parti politique d\u00e9sire utiliser une abr\u00e9viation de son nom aux fins de la pr\u00e9sente loi, indiquer cette abr\u00e9viation;<\/li>\n<li>\u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 d'une copie de la constitution du parti politique propos\u00e9 qui doit \u00eatre conforme \u00e0 la loi\u00a0;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>inclure une demande d'enregistrement du symbole du parti politique.<\/li>\n<li>inclure un engagement \u00e0 \u00eatre li\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sente loi et le code de conduite \u00e9nonc\u00e9 dans la premi\u00e8re annexe\u00a0; et<\/li>\n<li>\u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 de la redevance prescrite.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon application for registration under subsection (1), the Registrar shall, within thirty days of the association or organization fulfilling the conditions prescribed in section 6, issue that association or organization with a certificate of provisional registration.<\/p>\n<p>A political party that has been provisionally registered as per conditions above shall, not later than one hundred and eighty days from the date of provisional registration, apply to the Registrar for full registration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/registrationprocess\/banner13.jpg\" alt=\"banner13\" style=\"border: 4px solid #000000;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Conditions of Full Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Political Parties Act 2011, Sect 7 provides that an application for full registration of a political party shall be in writing and shall be signed by an authorized official of the political party. A provisionally registered political party shall be qualified to be fully registered if\u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>il a recrut\u00e9 comme membres pas moins de mille \u00e9lecteurs inscrits dans chacun de plus de la moiti\u00e9 des comt\u00e9s ;<\/li>\n<li>les membres vis\u00e9s au paragraphe (a) refl\u00e8tent la diversit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale et ethnique, l'\u00e9quilibre entre les sexes et la repr\u00e9sentation des minorit\u00e9s et des groupes marginalis\u00e9s\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>la composition de son organe directeur refl\u00e8te la diversit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale et ethnique, l'\u00e9quilibre entre les sexes et la repr\u00e9sentation des minorit\u00e9s et des groupes marginalis\u00e9s;s;<\/li>\n<li>pas plus des deux tiers des membres de son organe directeur sont du m\u00eame sexe\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>il a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les membres de son organe directeur satisfont aux exigences du chapitre six de la Constitution et des lois relatives \u00e0 l'\u00e9thique\u00a0;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>it has submitted to the Registrar a list of the names, addresses and identification particulars of all its members; the location of its head office, which shall be a registered office within Kenya and a postal address to which notices and other communication may be sent; and the location and addresses of the branch offices of the political party, which shall be in more than half of the counties;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>be accompanied by the prescribed fee; and<\/li>\n<li>il s'est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre li\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sente loi et le code de conduite figurant \u00e0 l'annexe I.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Registrar shall, within thirty days of an application, issue a certificate of full registration to a provisionally registered political party which has fulfilled the conditions of full registration.
