T<\/strong>he Office of the Registrar of Political Parties held a two- day orientation programme to 26 newly recruited staff on 2nd and 3rd November, 2023 coordinated by the Human resource department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New staff members were taken through office practices, standards and expectations. \u201cYou are joining a reputable institution <\/a>that embraces good corporate governance. I call you to integrate the knowledge with our governance tenets including reporting structures, order, standard operations that we hold in line with structures of public service”, said Ann Nderitu, the Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You must be responsible, uphold professionalism, and confidentiality of information as you demonstrate your value to ORPP.<\/span><\/a> Deviations from any such expectations and other core <\/span>values, <\/span>you <\/span>will <\/span>be <\/span>held <\/span>personally <\/span>accountable <\/span>for <\/span>your actions in line with the Code of Conduct”, guided the Registrar.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The orientation programme entailed training sessions on;
ORPP mandate and functions, organization structure, political party registration process, field services functions, human resource policies, ORPP Service Delivery Charter among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing remarks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is an institution that will create a conducive environment but all new staff must live the corporate values and embrace a culture of high performance and excellence”, Ali A. Surraw Assistant Regulation, Compliance and Political Parties Fund.
“Be holistic and add value to the institution. We endeavor to have distinguished officers that are exemplary and with goodwill, professionalism and self-growth”, CPA Florence Birya Registration and Field Services.
In her closing remarks, Registrar Ann Nderitu noted that “Many distractions will come along your service, stay focused in your jobs. Embrace personal discipline and drive”.
The Registrar further called on new staff that they must model and set out professional and personal goals. “The ORPP firmly believes in fundamentals that include; turn- around timeline in line with our service charter; desist from casualness; excellence and courteous service; core values within the larger scale of value system and respect to governance structures”, affirmed the Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
