The ORPP\u2019s Budget Implementation Committee (BIC), comprising Heads of Department, held deliberations on 29th<\/sup> July, 2025 at ORPP Headquarters, 4th<\/sup> floor boardroom.<\/p>\n

Members conversed and resolved on an amicable mechanism of equitable distribution of the ORPP\u2019s 19.8M operational \/recurrent budget available for use across the 4 quarters of the current Financial year, FY 2025\/2026.<\/p>\n

The BIC further discussed the current year\u2019s consolidated work plan and measures to offset glaring funding gaps out of projected departmental plans.<\/p>\n

Committee members also apprised the status of utilisation of budget for FY 2024\/2025, for the three sub programmesthat ORPP implements, whose overall\u00a0 rating was at 99.09%. Further, the team evaluated the last financial year\u2019s\u00a0 programmes performance report, which indicated most of the programmes as prioritised in the course of the said year were executed to their completion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s funding is very constrained, hence the need for departments to device ways of actualizing the programmes in the workplans including building ineter-departmental synergy in implementation,\u201d said BIC chairperson, Joshua Kimulu, while appreciating the BIC Secretariat for the well-done documentation of Committee\u2019s proceedings of the meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting was also appraised of ORPP\u2019s budget\/activity projections for the general election, by-elections (once announced by IEBC), and transition to e-government procurement (See related story on page\u00a0 )<\/p>\n
