In a continued drive to empower the youth to meaningfully participate in political and electoral process , the Office has conducted a series of regional youth sensitization forums in collaboration with key stakeholders, engaging student leaders across multiple counties, themed Kikao na Comrades. <\/em><\/p>\n

A total of seven regions held a series of engagements\u00a0 in various counties across the country. The for a were held in Narok,Wajir, Kakamega, West Pokot, Nyeri, Iten and Kajiado.<\/p>\n

On June 11th<\/em>, the ORPP Nakuru Regional Office convened a youth forum in Narok town, Narok County, bringing together university and college students from institutions such as Maasai Mara TVC, Maasai University, Lusaka Institute, Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), and Narok Teachers Training College.\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The forum attracted participation from stakeholders including the Office of the County Commissioner, Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Narok, IEBC representatives, officials from Narok County Government, and delegates from political parties including Ubuntu Peoples Forum (UPF), United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), Jubilee Party (JP), and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).<\/p>\n

In Garissa, the Regional office hosted a similar forum on 23rd May <\/em>\u00a0in Wajir County, engaging six institutions including Wajir Teachers Training College, Nuria Training Vocational College, and Frontier Institute. \u201cThese fora is meant to empower youth on political rights and guide their active participation in democratic processes as part of nurturing them into leadership.\u201d said Garissa Regional Coordinator Ifrah Isaak,<\/p>\n

Wajir TTC student leader Farhiya Ahmed echoed noting, \u201cYouth are partners in shaping political processes today. Our goal is to ensure they are informed, engaged, and ready to take part in nation-building\u201d.<\/p>\n

Further west, Bungoma Regional Office held a Student Leaders\u2019 Forum at Golf Hotel, Kakamega County, bringing together leaders from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Sigalagala National Polytechnic, Bushiangala Technical Training Institute, Shamberere TTC, and KMTC Kakamega. Discussions centered on the role of youth in political parties, barriers to their involvement, and strategies for promoting inclusive engagement.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In West Pokot, May 22nd 2025, the Trans Nzoia Regional Office (Kitale-based) held discussions with student leaders from 11 TVET and Vocational Training Centers (VTCs).<\/p>\n

In Nyeri, May 27th 2025, the Central Region Office engaged students from 7 universities and tertiary institutions.\u00a0 In Iten (Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu Counties), the Uasin Gishu Regional Office (Eldoret-based) reached out to student leaders from over 10 tertiary institutions, focusing on youth inclusion and the electoral cycle.<\/p>\n
