T<\/strong>he Office of the Registrar of Political Parties held discussions from 17th-18th October, 2023 with Secretary Generals and technical persons to sensitize them on latest improvements of the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The improvement pertained to user notifications, improved security features and a number of new modules such as one on registration of Political Parties. The meeting also sort feedback from Political Parties and the IPPMS enhancement with a view to improve user experience and align to data protection law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are here to showcase improved Office systems having considered political parties’ feedback we have received for efficiency and effectiveness of our processes”, Assistant Registrar, Ali A Surraw said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We hope that political parties are better prepared and meet the expectations of their members in their various programs. I urge parties to embrace simple technologies that better your objectives “, Assistant Registrar CPA Florence Birya said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Registrar pointed out that ORPP <\/a>convened such a forum to showcase ICT systems that support governance structures. “We are witnessing a success stories having come a long, in party systems such as membership data clean up, platforms for a citizen<\/strong> through making the register publicly through varied digital platforms”, said Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A key improvement is incorporating provisions of personal protection measures, security measures, additional modules as part of continuous improvement we have made to our systems as we work to- wards making the Integrated Political Parties Management System (IPPMS)”, pointed out the Registrar.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
